An Immersive Art Journey Toward Healing and Well-Being
The Project
Auspicious 88 is a multi-year immersive art project that reimagines sacred Buddhist symbols as 88 sculptural environments combining kinetic movement, light, sound, and traditional craftsmanship. Conceived by artist Nick Dong, the project offers not just aesthetic wonder, but emotional restoration. Each piece is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with the self, with others, and with a deeper sense of balance.
The first 11 works premiered in 2024 in Taipei and San Francisco. The full cycle of 88 pieces will culminate in a global touring exhibition beginning August 8, 2028.
Why It Matters
In an age of fragmentation and emotional exhaustion, Auspicious 88 offers a vital remedy: art as a space for healing. Rooted in Eastern philosophy and expressed through contemporary design, the project cultivates well-being by creating meditative, multi-sensory environments that slow the pace of experience and reawaken introspection.
